REVEALING CHRIST AND DEMONSTRATING GOD'S LOVE

  • Reflection and Celebration: The Journey of Hope Tbernacle Church

Every July, Hope Tabernacle Church in Gulu reflects on God's faithfulness and celebrates its journey as a ministry, renewing hope and confidence in His future plans. Founded in July 2016 after a mega crusade led by Evangelist Steven Sebyala of Africa Harvest Mission, the church began with 20 new converts, including Akongo Irene, now the church administrator. Over the years, God has equipped additional disciple-makers dedicated to expanding His kingdom. This year, the church is blessed to reconnect with Evangelist Sebyala, whose work initially planted the seeds of the gospel in Gulu. This reunion represents a new era of collaboration focused on leadership development, church planting training, and community empowerment. As the church embarks on this new chapter, it anticipates transformative changes, committed to spreading hope and love. Through unity and purpose, Hope Tabernacle Church aims to make a positive impact, seeking God's guidance for the future with renewed passion and commitment.

  • ADDRESSING COM MUNITY

    WATER CHALLENGES

Water is Life Indeed! Over 1000 people within 3 km radius of the church lack clean water. In rainy season, running water floods the well making it unfit for human consumption. The impoverished community is left with no alternative. In partnership with Life Ministry Uganda, we reached out to about 100 households and gave out water filters. As we pray for a permanent solution of a deep well, the filters will serve to reduce risks associated with water born diseases. We praise God who has enabled us to be a blessing to our community through the generosity of our partners. Now a fraction of the community can drink clean water because of the filters.

Launch of Through the Bible Radio program

An expository approach to teaching scriptures has been

uncommon in the region, but on July 30, 2025, a five-year

initiative was launched in Northern Uganda to teach the

Bible book by book, chapter by chapter, and verse by verse

in Luo. This initiative, organized by Through the Bible, aims

to transform thousands of lives, similar to its impact in

other areas. Pastor Samuel Okello has been recommended

to serve as the voice of this program, which will cover the

entire Bible from Genesis to Revelation over the span of

    five years.

Prayer for Ps. Samuel & Agnes dedicating them as the voice of Through The Bible in Luo, Northern Uganda.

    Radio Ministry impact: Testimony

Sister Sharon a stay home mother in Gulu, struggled with

bitterness and unforgiveness which affected her relationship

with her husband and children. However, after engaging with

Through the Bible radio program, Sharon experienced

significant transformation in her life through the Word, finding

unspeakable joy. She expresses gratitude to Through the

Bible's friends and partners for making this teaching available

in Luo for the people of Northern Uganda.

    The wedding of Patience Awori

The wedding of Patience Awori, a daughter of the ministry, was a joyful occasion that showcased God's grace and the transformative power of the gospel in a cultural context where establishing godly marriages can be challenging for young people. The ministry expresses its joy in witnessing young individuals settle into godly marriages and is committed to promoting healthy marriage practices by influencing traditional norms. Plans are underway to strengthen fellowship and discipleship at the family level within the local community and the church, fostering a supportive environment for future marriages.
