HOPE TABERNACLE MINISTRIES
REVEALING CHRIST AND DEMONSTRATING GOD'S LOVE
The Journey of Hope Tabernacle Church
Every July, Hope Tabernacle Church in Gulu reflects on God's faithfulness and celebrates its journey as a ministry, renewing hope and confidence in His future plans. Founded in July 2016 after a mega crusade led by Evangelist Steven Sebyala of Africa Harvest Mission, the church began with 20 new converts, including Akongo Irene, now the church administrator. Over the years, God has equipped additional disciple-makers dedicated to expanding His kingdom. This year, the church is blessed to reconnect with Evangelist Sebyala, whose work initially planted the seeds of the gospel in Gulu. This reunion represents a new era of collaboration focused on leadership development, church planting training, and community empowerment. As the church embarks on this new chapter, it anticipates transformative changes, committed to spreading hope and love. Through unity and purpose, Hope Tabernacle Church aims to make a positive impact, seeking God's guidance for the future with renewed passion and commitment.

ADDRESSING COMMUNITY
WATER CHALLENGES
Water is Life Indeed! Over 1000 people within 3 km radius of the church lack clean water. In rainy season, running water floods the well making it unfit for human consumption. The impoverished community is left with no alternative. In partnership with Life Ministry Uganda, we reached out to about 100 households and gave out water filters. As we pray for a permanent solution of a deep well, the filters will serve to reduce risks associated with water born diseases. We praise God who has enabled us to be a blessing to our community through the generosity of our partners. Now a fraction of the community can drink clean water because of the filters.

Omoro Recieves Clean Water
This August, we witnessed a double blessing in Omoro. Over 70 families now have access to clean, life-giving water through new filters, bringing hope and health to the community. Even more powerfully, more than 10 individuals were transformed by the Gospel, finding new life in Christ.
But the journey is not over. Many communities still rely on open wells that flood during the rainy season, risking sickness and disease. Our mission is to provide a lasting solution by digging deep wells for the community where our new branch church is located.
Clean water quenches physical thirst, and it's also a powerful symbol of the Living Water that Jesus offers — the true source of eternal life and salvation.
Join us in bringing hope, health, and the Gospel to Omoro.Raising Up the Next Generation of Leaders
Over 400 passionate young people from Tororo and surrounding districts gathered in Tororo on August 30th for a powerful day of empowerment. Student leaders from over 20 high schools convened to answer the call for radical evangelism and discipleship in their schools. The enemy is actively targeting young people, but we are raising up a new generation of leaders to fight back!
Our youth are the future, and we are intentionally reaching them through institutions to equip them to serve the Lord. This rally was a crucial step in awakening our young leaders to the urgent need for a spiritual revolution in schools. Let's stand with them as they bring the light of Christ to their peers!
New Skills, Brighter Future
Over 40 households in the Layibi community, including young mothers, widows, and youth, recently participated in a business skills training program organized by Hope Tabernacle Ministries in partnership with Life Ministry Uganda.
Participants learned how to make essential products like liquid soap, bar soap, and Vaseline. We are trusting that these new skills will empower them to support their families and contribute to the church, building a stronger and more self-sufficient community.
With these practical skills, we're helping community members create a brighter future for themselves and their families. Their new abilities to produce these everyday goods will provide a foundation for financial independence and stability.Community Transformation through farming and discipleship
Our ministry is piloting an innovative approach to community transformation through farming, specifically targeting the peasant farmers in our village churches. Our goal is to empower groups of couples to transition from subsistence to commercial farming, building a foundation for a more sustainable livelihood and healthy church fulfilling the great commission. We’re creating groups of 15 couples and training them not only in environmentally friendly agricultural practices but also in discipleship, a saving culture, and crucial life skills like counseling, trauma healing, and conflict resolution. To help them increase their harvest, we intend to provide essential agricultural support services, including sets of ox plows to help them increase land cultivation. By empowering these families with new skills and resources, we're helping them generate income, strengthen their family bonds, and deepen their connection to God and the land.
